Two Big Elissa 2014 events!

We've got two major events coming up, and we're going to go big on both! Capital Pride is this Saturday...and our first campaign finance deadline is next Tuesday.

This campaign is about investing in D.C.: in our public schools, in our adult learners, in our public transportation, in our public spaces, in ourselves. In order to focus on all these things, I need you to invest in our campaign.

Our first campaign finance deadline is June 10, and I need your help to reach our goal!

You'll see the immediate impact of your investment this Saturday at Capital Pride. I am thrilled to support this great event celebrating D.C.'s LGBT community, and Elissa 2014 will be marching with our new t-shirts (made possible by your donation)! Bring yourselves, your partner, your kids, your mom and dad, your dog and march with me! Many of you know my borrowed motto "keep it simple, make it fun," but for Pride I'll alter it a bit: keep it simple, make it fun....and fabulous! Email me at so I can reserve your shirt! The parade starts Saturday around 4:30 p.m. at 22nd and P Streets NW.

Your contribution will help us spread the word about integrity, accountability, and investing in D.C. at Pride and beyond.

You can donate here.

Thanks for your support!
