Last night, my campaign submitted a finance report last night showing that we've raised $28,000 over the latest filing period and have $42,000 cash-on-hand. Our report included 261 additional contributions for the filing period from March 11 to April 15, giving us the largest number of individual contributors among all reporting candidates in the race.
I am truly grateful for the widespread support my campaign continues to attract from residents across the city who want to restore public trust in District leadership. This campaign has demonstrated that, despite conventional wisdom, it is possible to create a competitive citywide campaign without accepting corporate or PAC money. Instead, we’ve been successful thanks to the hard work and contributions of committed District residents.
I am proud that my campaign has drawn support from a range of prominent District leaders and activists. Among those whose contributions were reported in the latest filing were At-Large Councilmember David Grosso and former Councilmember Sharon Ambrose, who have both endorsed me in the race. I also received donations from community activists and former Council candidates Bryan Weaver and Joshua Lopez.
I want to thank my donors for their support and their commitment to bringing integrity, accountability, and strategic investment to the Wilson Building.
