WASHINGTON (October 16, 2014). Elissa Silverman has just received the endorsement of the National Nurses United. The National Nurses United represents more than 2,000 registered nurses who live and/or work in the Direct of Columbia.
“I am thrilled to receive the endorsement of National Nurses United,” said Silverman. “Our nurses play a critical role in advocating for quality health care in DC and I’m looking forward to working with them to ensure our city’s medical needs are met.”
Following the last several weeks of endorsements from the Washington Teachers Union, Fraternal Order of Police D.C. Police Union, Sierra Club, and LiUNA!, and others, the National Nurses United endorsement represents Silverman's 14th major endorsement since Labor Day.
